Mayhem’s Children by Edward Aubry
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I have to say, when Edward Aubry personally promises you that your favorite characters will be more involved in the next book, he delivers in a big way. Dorothy and Melody's side story was wonderful, and had me wondering what was real and what was part of a curse. I'll tell you what, a curse twist is the best twist. Especially when the reader doesn't know about it until a few chapters later. It makes you question everything the characters did before.
This book also made me question loyalties. We're a few books into the series now, but there are still secrets coming out. Characters I thought I knew well, are changing. With everything that goes on in this book, things are made even more difficult when you don't know if you should trust the people around you.
The main villain in this book is also great. Although, you kind of have to wonder who the real villain is. It may not be the obvious answer. All in all, I'm ready to see what the next book has in store.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
